How to Get Involved

At EDDC, parents are essential contributors to the operations of the Center. We create meaningful opportunities for families to be involved, informed, and connected, through classroom activities, family events, and parent socials throughout the year. Families often leave EDDC with lasting friendships and a network of support that extends well beyond their time at the Center.

Class Parents

Class Parents are volunteer room parents for each classroom. They help plan class parties, facilitate communication among families, and support the classroom teacher throughout the year. Their involvement strengthens the relationship between home and school and helps create a welcoming environment for every family in the class.

Parent Group

Parent Group is EDDC’s volunteer parent organization, similar to a PTA. It plans and coordinates fundraising events and social activities throughout the year. The funds raised through Parent Group directly support the Center’s programs and operations.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing body of EDDC. Comprised entirely of current parents, the Board meets monthly to oversee the operations and strategic direction of the Center. Parent representation on the Board ensures that the interests of EDDC families remain central to every decision.
